There is an statement on Mirtazepine brochure in contraindication segment that says "caution if seizure disorder". Then I would not prescribe it to somebody with seizure disorder if patient has a barely controlled seizure disorder or if I could choose another medication.I should emphasize that if you need to be treated for depression most of antidepressants carry the risk of making seizure worse, some more like Bupropion, and tricyclic antidepressant and some have less "toxicity".
