It looks like classic tonsillitis probably a strep infection.
I don't know why you would be scared. It is very easy to treat. With that obvious white spot , your doctor won't even bother to swab your throat. He will just prescribe an antibiotic, and you will get relief very quickly.

You really should not let strep go untreated because it can spread and even spread to your heart. It is so easy to get treated there is no reason to not do it.

If you get this comming back over and over, your doc might suggest having your tonsils out , but that is a real rare thing these days and you would need to be treated for several bouts within a single year before a doctor would even suggest it,

If you gargle with listerine every day you can avoid getting reinfected marginally. Now that you have it already and the tissues are swollen, Listerine wont help much. You need antibiotics at this point

Early appendicitis may still be missed if CT was done at onset of symptoms. This is a fairly routine occurrence. It's not that the doctor "missed" it on CT, it's just that it didn't have the fat stranding and dilation that is normally present.

If symptoms persist, a follow-up CT is warranted, especially if your white blood cell count becomes elevated.

was it a children's hospital emergency room? maybe you should try that.

next of coars a pediatritian, or an eye doctor next try an ear nose and throat doctor

all specialists. tell them that the other doctors are not helping and you will not stop see a doctor until you get an answer and help.
