Luis Said:

Legally what would be the charge for stealing a prescription pad with intent but not actually forging them.?

We Answered:

The only crime someone could be charged with for stealing the pad is simple theft.... Called petite theft in many states. It is a misdemeanor offense.

But, here is where it gets bad....

Fill out one of the sheets and that's forgery... Felony.

Attempt to pass it a forged script and that's uttering a forged instrument... Felony.

Obtain a script via fraud.... Theft and possession of a controlled substance.

And then you could get slammed with Trafficking, and the list goes on.

This is an insane crime that could net the person YEARS in jail time.

If it was bad enough, they could be charged Federally and that's HUGE........... decades in Federal Prison!

I tried to talk to my husband last night about possible PPD and he blew me off?

We Answered:

Ok, let's get the priorities in order here. If you honestly believe you may have PPD, then you need to go to a doctor. PPD is a serious issue, and if left untreated, it can get worse. Much worse. Hormonal changes after giving birth can cause depression, but there are other factors too. In some women, thyroid levels drop after giving birth, which can also lead to depression. These are treatable conditions, honey, and not your fault...but you do need to get help for them if you have them and you won't know that until you see someone about it. Don't wait for your husband's approval or support...do it for you and your children. Remember, *any* woman can get PPD after having a baby...it doesn't mean you are a bad person or a bad mother, it just means you need a little help to get through it.

As for your husband, choose a time when you're both relaxed and sit him down. Tell him that you love him, and you want your marriage to work, but only if he wants the same. If he does, then he has to put some effort into it, plain and simple. Explain that you realize you're both under a lot of stress, but that right now you are going through something and you really need his support. He doesn't have to fix it, he just needs to be there for you.

Try to understand that many men feel helpless when they know they cannot fix something, and it causes them to try to pretend the thing that they can't fix doesn't exist. That may be what is happening here. He may also be afraid for you, and not wanting to face that there is a problem. Not knowing him, it's hard to say. It could be that he's just an a*s. Whatever the case, if you do have PPD, you need to address that before you can deal with your marriage or anything else. It *has* to be the priority.

good luck.

I watch the show Intervention on A&E but onw part I don't understand is where they get the prescription pills?

We Answered:

Hello. I watch that show also ( i've actually become addicted to it ), and the last episode i watched showed a guy that just kept going to the doctor and saying he was in pain, so he could get pain killers. Anybody can go to a doctor and say they are in pain, depressed, or have anxiety, and doctors will give you a prescription with no problem. It's their way of getting people in and out very quickly. You go in, tell them what's wrong, and they write you a prescription, and send you on your way ( after charging you a small fortune ). Some people do that, and just sell the drugs on the street to addicts. And if you happen to be lucky enough to have a lot of money ( celebrities ), you can get any doctor to write you a prescription, as long as you can pay a lot for it. That's why so many celebrities are addicted to drugs. I've seen teenagers that steal their parents drugs, and sell them at school. Getting drugs is much easier then you think. If it was so difficult, there wouldn't be as any people addicted to them. So sad :-(

Kenneth Said:

Question about pharmacies and prescriptions.?

We Answered:

As a former pharmacy technician, I can tell you that in the pharmacy where I worked, we kept data bases on patients, but if they are new to the pharmacy we have to enter the information we are given. As far as forging the doctors signature, I can also tell you that most of us recognize the doctors signature and if we get one that we don't recognize or looks shady, we call the doctor to verify the script.

I tried to talk to my husband about possible PPD and he blew me off?

We Answered:

Bottom line is tell him:
"I'm suffering, and seeking help. If you have problems with that then you deal with them. I've told you what is going on, and you take it as a joke, I'm seeking help and would advise you to do the same"

While you need his approval, you need yourself to be ok more.

I went through a bad spell after our middle child was born. I kept that a secret for nearly a year! I conceived our second 6 weeks after a gruesome miscarriage, that we both just "moved on from". Problem was, that I conceived our second 6 weeks after, and I wasn't "moved on". So I went through that pregnancy in tears, upset, and questioning everything while trying to raise our 3 year old as an at home mom and him working 12 hr shifts with no days off and 0 family support.

I didn't let my husband know anything was wrong, I just dealt with it the best I could.

Don't put yourself through that hell!!!!! It is utter HELL. Seek help if it's needed, support or not.

Going it alone is just that, ALONE! Find a Friend or family member you can talk to if you have one (I didn't). But seek help, because you deserve to be ok and enjoy those babies hun.

If he's dealing with his own issues let him, you are #1 right now.

Big hugs, hope you feel better soon. Because being there on ANY level is HELL !

Discuss It!
