You can't know anything for sure--certainly not anything posted on the Internet. I try not to ask people to simply trust my knowledge by providing links to reputable sites that back my answer.

You need to exercise common sense and take any advice you get here with a grain of salt.

I hope no one is making serious medical decisions based solely on information gathered here. It's a good place to get information to ask your health care provider about, but should not replace actual medical care. Every patient is different, and should have a unique solution to their health problems. You can only get that from one on one consultation with a professional.

Im 12 and went and got a physical in May. All my doctor asked me was if i started my period and if it was regular and questions like if you have broken a bone and other little questions like that. Dont worry!

best to keep a medical "diary" & bring it to them if you've had shots, diseases, hospitalizations, surgeries;; they give you a written list of questions;; I wouldn't be so worried about it;; it's also a wise idea to write down the questions you have for him, cuz the minute you walk in & he starts talking, you forget everything he's saying (some medical jargon) & you forget everything you wanted to ask him...about all you need to know on your first visit;; he'll help you with the rest;;& btw, some offices send forms in the mail ahead of time so you don't need to spend 15 minutes filling out the questionaire, call the office & find out if they do this...

It's called hepatic encephalopathy. If your son becomes restless, confused, disoriented, unable to communicate, or his hands start to twitch, it's hepatic encephalopathy. It's affecting the brain's functions due to increased ammonia levels in the blood. It's the liver's function to convert it to urea so that it can be secreted in the urine, now that the liver is not functioning well, ammonia is concentrated and runs through the system. That's why he's receiving lactulose, a laxative, to excrete ammonia via the feces. I'm very sorry to say ma'am, I'm a nurse, I've seen a cases of liver cirrhosis and I can tell this is the last stage. All you have to do now is be by his side and let him feel how much you love him. Even though his brain cannot fully understand whatever is going on, his heart does. Pray for him. And who knows, maybe God will make a miracle. I hope this helps.

Well a pap test is generally designed to detect cervical cancer, which we now know can be caused by HPV. What you may not know is that not all cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV, and HPV is quite common, it is not necessarily limited to people that have had sex. Pap tests can also detect other changes in cells, or any other problems that are going on down there, so it is a good thing to have when you reach the most common age that problems start occuring.

Get it done anyways, better safe than sorry, and then your doctor won't yell at you when you are 25, married, and only then going for your first one (like me a few months ago!!!). As for the part about the hymen, if you have ever used a tampon, it's already probably broken, same with if you have ever masturbated, or more or less stuck anything up there ever, so don't worry about that. Paps don't make you lose your virginity, virginity is defined by "never having been penetrated by a man" so there you go!!

P.S. They really aren't that bad, if you think you should get one, go get it done!
