what is the rate between the doctor being wrong or right about the sex of my baby?We Answered:
Most women find out around 18 - 22 weeks in the pregnancy, some a bit earlier but the earlier they try to determine gender via ultrasound the higher the chance for error. Accuracy rates vary because there are a lot of other factors - the experience of the technician and the position of the baby can all impact the ability to determine gender. On average, I remember reading that it was about 94% accurate but . . . short of amnio or CVS, there is no way to know with 100% accuracy.Good luck and congrats!

How can I lower my pulse rate during doctor appointments? We Answered:
Fred. You're worrying about NOTHING. ... It doesn't work like that. You don't need to (and can't) "lower your pulse rate" just like that.
Why ? It's because your pulse rate is set to that figure (quite correctly) by your brain. It sets it so that your pulse rate multiplied by the amount of blood your heart is pumping out each stroke is exactly equal to the amount of blood flow your body needs. ... is why....
No more and no less.
If you could lower your pulse rate, then your brain would automatically cancel, negate, i.e. REVERSE what you've done, by INCREASING the amount of blood your heart pumps out @ each stroke.
BUT your pulse-pressure is proportional to your stroke volume, and so your systolic pressure would increase. -Is that what you want it to do? Who knows best?? You? ..or your brain.?
My money's on your brain.
You're fine. You're healthy. You're typical. Forget it.
Relax, there's absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU!

How to lower blood pressure and heart rate before doctors check-up?We Answered:
Today, nearly one in three adult is effected by high blood pressure but as it is a silent disease, sometimes the sufferer realize the fact much later.I am suffering with high blood pressure since a long time and my personal experience says before consulting with a doctor try to solve the matter yourself by different methods as garlic supplements, eating fish oil, and try to maintain healthy lifestyle.
As a sufferer i find the best solution by reading several books related to blood pressure and the best part is that today also i am extremely fit and fine without any type of medication.

Can a doctor tell if you've had caffeine when checking your heart rate?We Answered:
Your heart rate may increase, but without a baseline rate to compare it to there is "no difference." Note that there are many factors that can increase one's heart rate (i.e., anxiety, substances, biological) and all of these rates need to be compared to a baseline rate to "note a difference."So yes, a physician could note a change in baseline heart rate if he/she knows your baseline rate. However, he/she may not be able to trace it to a substance or equate it to anxiety/adrenaline unless you state you ingested a substance.

Is it a bad thing to train for an endurance event at over 90% of my maximum heart rate for hours at a time?We Answered:
With enough conditioning (it sounds like you have it) your maximum heart rate can increase. Listen to what your body tells you not guesses at what your heart rate should be at.Jeremy Said:
can the doctor tell the heart rate with a doppler? We Answered:
