Affordable Health Insurance For Young Adults

Darlene Said:

If Universal Health Insurance in America isn't designed to cover all Americans why have it?

We Answered:

A study coming out Tuesday from scholars at Columbia, Harvard, Purdue and Michigan projects that 20 million Americans who have employment-based health insurance would lose it under the McCain plan.

Which proposal would you rather have?

Edit: These aren't Obama's people. This is a seperate study. But, don't believe me, just don't be shocked when you lose your insurance.

April Said:

What are some affordable health insurance companies for young adults?

We Answered:

With health insurance, you get what you pay for. Good coverage is expensive.

Go see a local agent, to help you balance coverages and costs to get something you can afford.

Oscar Said:

what are the articles saying..will i be covered by my dad's medical insurance if i go to school part time?

We Answered:

If your Dad chooses to cover you under his health care plan he can do so until you are 26 years old.
He has to fill out the paperwork every year (we all do this) and put you down as his dependent child on his health care enrollment form.

He has to keep you on his insurance... it does not happen automatically and if you have a job where your employer offers health insurance... you can bet that your fathers plan is "grandfathered in" and can demand that you insure yourself with your employer.

You can be enrolled under your fathers health care plan until you are 26 even if you are married, not living with your parents, go to school, have a job (as long as this job doesn't offer health care benefits for you that are equivalent of your fathers plan, and frankly.... can't you read?!!

It is all spelled out and you even copied it. Please read. Sentence by sentence and then comprehend. If you are going to school... you need to learn this skill or else you will not "learn" a single thing.

Henry Said:

If the Democrats really cared about the welfare of young generations why have created 4 them so much debt?

We Answered:

They even had backroom deals: Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev nailed the last votes down in a rush of dealmaking in the Health Care debate last week that is now coming under attack because of special provisions obtained by a number of senators. In Nebraska, home to conservative Democrat Ben Nelson, the Democrats' crucial 60th vote, the federal government will pay 100 percent of the cost of a planned Medicaid expansion in perpetuity, the only state getting that deal.

The bill also authorizes taxpayer-funded abortions, violating long-standing federal policy. It's no coincidence that the more the American people learn about this monstrosity, the more they oppose it.

Glenn Said:

Which of these benefits of the new Health Care Reform Law do republicans object to?

We Answered:

I am particularly pleased with the ban on denying coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

Millions of people have lost their jobs and their health care insurance. If they can afford to buy a private plan, which many cannot, they will be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. By the time someone reaches the age of 40, he or she probably has some such conditions, which are considered to be anything for which a patient has been diagnosed with or treated for.

Let’s be realistic: We are all going to pay for this change in our health care plans, but the cost will be small for each of us. It can be devastating for an individual. Most pre-existing conditions can be treated with prescription drugs and do not require surgery or other expensive remedies.

I am not comfortable with the government running our health care, but this is one issue I am very pleased about.
