It takes several years for anything to get to a dangerous point.

Because AZ is hot and very dry you should be OK as long as you open the house up a bit and let the air evaporate all of the water.

The risk to your family is far less then 1%. I am unclear what the landlord needs to fix. I guess that depends on what caused the flood in the first place.

Politely ask to see the manager and then come right out with it! You are a paying guest who can expect a clean, well maintained room (after all, that's what you are paying for) and if that is not being delivered you are entitled to a partial refund.
In all honesty, you cannot expect a full refund because the room should have been checked by your husband and the complaint launched straight away but, if I were you, I would insist on some sort of compensation acceptable to you and your husband!

No. Diseases such as cholera, typhoid fever, dengue and amoebiasis are among the chronic health problems especially during rainy season. Lots of children die also of pneumonia and other diseases resulting from inclement wheather. Leptospirosis, a disease which is caused by the mixing of rat urine/feces to the flood and a person who is wounded gets his wounds immersed in that flood, is also among the serious problems in that area. Black molds aren't much of a big deal as that I have aforementioned.

It is mildew. The only molds that could possibly hurt you would not grow in grout.

The mildew is more likely in the chalking then the grout. Some people are really stupid and use their bare fingers to smooth the grout. Dead skin get inbedded and feeds the mildew.

Without being able to see it, it would be really hard to tell what variety of mold it may be. I would recommend checking with your local health department to find out what type of mold it is..... but be aware that if it is toxic mold, they may shut down your office while it's cleaned out.
