It's pretty easy to find a cheap individual health insurance plan if you are fairly healthy.Just be sure that you don't fall victim to a rate that seems too good to be true from a company that you have never heard of or get suckered into a health discount card that is not true health insurance.
Stick with a large and well known company like United Healthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, etc. and you will be fine.
Compare quotes from at least 3 different companies (rinse and repeat every 6 months) to make sure that you always have the best value.
