Are you talking about the leukemia-cancer- patient who died after marrow transplant and had complications causing liver failure? The liver transplant in that patient is not a recognized treatment- the immune suppression drugs required for transplant are counter to the cancer treatment and death would occur shortly from the cancer that can't be treated with again destroying liver. Some experiments have been done, few live beyond 6 months. There should be no criminal trial for refusing a known counter health, not productive procedure. Civil suit will probably be dismissed- the current medical treatment of multiple cancer/ liver failure indicates transplant is not productive. Cancer treatment has known failure rate in initial stages- she fits into known risk of death profile- die shortly without treatment, 2/3 survival with the treatment and 1/3 death rate due to complications- patient lost this time. People saying try somebody are just stirring up things or trying to influence settlement for malpractice suit. I got survival figures for my cancer treatment options, 2 years later so far so good, side affects were known and explained, if have statiscticly now another 10 years beyond not treating from one cancer- still have other possible problems to die from.

There's NO WAY anyone here could know which plan you have. You'll have to call the number and ask.

Neither the 20 week, nor the first one (confirming a singleton pregnancy, no doubt) was medically necessary. Medical necessity means, something is going wrong, and they need to figure out what.

They covered it for rental a few times and then purchased one for us when my DD was hospitalized for the 3rd time. She has RAD(Reactive Airway Disorder) and she was in the ER alot and in the hospital 3 times by the time she was one.

If you haven't had prior coverage, they will exclude coverage for ALL your preexisting conditions for 18 months, and then cover pretty well.

Cigna has about 8 different plans in each state. So it's going to depend on which plan, and which state. If you have prior credible coverage with no lapse, then they won't exclude preexisting conditions for the 18 months.
