Connecticare Health Insurance

Sherri Said:

Aflac charged my company for my premiums while I was on maternity leave.?

We Answered:

Yes. Because the coverage is still active, even though you're on one disability, you could, oh, trip over a paperclip and have ANOTHER disability - another claim - right when you get back!

If you want the policy to stay active, you have to pay for it. If it's group coverage, you're required to keep it, until open enrollment, or you quit your job.

Tracy Said:

Help me choosing Health Insurance?

We Answered:

You really need to talk to an insurance agent specialize in Health. I have Blue Cross and it works for me, but it may not work for you. A good health insurance agent should be able to go through a lot of health insurance companies and gives you the pros and cons based on you and your family health situation. It will save you a lot of time too. Find an agent who represent a lot of companies. Good luck

Stanley Said:

My work place switched from Anthem to ConnectiCare health insurance and my Dr. is not on their listing?

We Answered:

You will need to contact your health insurance company and ask what there policy is. As some will cover it if you provide them with a referral from your regular doctor at in network prices.

Different companies have different policies in regards to who you can see. They should cover some of it its just that they wont cover as much as they do for a in network provider. If not then you are simply going to have to bite the bullet and pay what they dont cover if you dont want to change providers.

Dont stress over it if they dont as its not going to help your condition if you worry about something you have no control over.

Good luck

How can I get catastrophic health insurance if I have conditions that are declinable?

We Answered:

Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I live in Texas I'm not sure about Connecticut laws and regulations, so I recommend you call a nearby health insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-… They should be able to help you.

No

Vincent Said:

My Dr. is not a provider for ConnectiCare. Am I still allowed to see her?

We Answered:

She needs to be a listed provider for Connecticare or they won't pay anything toward the charges. As already mentioned you can still see her but you'll have to pay the full cost. If she has sent in an application she should follow up to see why they haven't contacted her.

Switching health care providers... Billing question. Help. Please.?

We Answered:

~~Just show the new insurance card. The biller will bill the other insurance under which you were covered for the dates seen, then when the new visits take place under the new insurance, the biller will invoice the new insurance. Just make sure you explain to the receptionist (or ask if it's possible to speak directly to their biller), and tell her you know you have visits still needing billing under the other plan. This way their won't be mix-ups or delays.

No matter what you were covered, so the biller needs to be sure she bills the correct insurance for the dates of service. No matter what, they can't hold you responsible.

Do make sure this doctor is a covered provider under your new insurance. Never trust a doctors office to give you correct info on this, you need to hear it directly form the new insurance company!~~
