I doubt it. Those things are fed to them daily by such outlets as Fox news and Rush Limbaugh. They run to Yahoo, and post questions/answers, and parrot what has been fed to them by these outlets.

Well, I can see they do have superior benefits compared to my existing insurance. I especially like that they do automatic coverage for newborns.

If enacted (which I doubt it ever will be, and I REALLY hope I'm right) it would apply to all legal residents, not just citizens.

A tax funded benefit cannot Constitutionally be denied to someone who is liable for paying the taxes that fund it, based on their national origin or citizenship status.

As to how it's done in other countries, in England the National Health Service is funded from general income taxes, and then everyone who can afford it buys private health insurance as well so that they can get real medical care if they need it. In Canada it's also funded by income taxes, and then the Canadians come over the border to the US for health care.

Government run health care.... the efficiency of the DMV, the compassion of the IRS, funded with the fiscal restraint that brought you the $5,000 toilet seat.
