Rosa Said:

Does anyone have access to the International Journal of Environment and Health 2009?

We Answered:

Hey if you still need this let me know.

Ruby Said:

So how many republicans will have a heart attack if Brown votes for health care reform after all that fuss?

We Answered:

As a Republican, I would be extremely angry if that happened.

Marcia Said:

Is Obama trying to turn USA into the Netherlands where they get really good health care service?

We Answered:

Yes really great service in a nation of under 20 Million people - That would only leave about 200 Million Americans NOT covered by comparison. Terrific premise and logic. Try something along the lines of Canada and read the comments related to the case of a rich Canadian politician with cancer. The comments should give you a bit more perspective.

Eleanor Said:

How can Republicans be against health care reform when children have died because they didn't have insurance?

We Answered:

Simple, they refuse to accept those figures. They listen to lies and half truths rather than listen to the simple facts on this.

I am always amazed how many Americans seem not to be aware about the real healthcare issues relying instead on FOX and other sources to spread lies about the healthcare system of the USA and those abroad. I mean, if healthcare in nations with universal coverage is so bad, why do they keep it?
Obama wants to make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money [1]. He also wants change so that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare [2].
Obama campaigned on reforming the healthcare system. He said he wanted to make insurance more available and he was elected to do this [3].
FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids both for kids aged under one and those under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [4].
FACT – American insurance companies push up prices and work to stop paying out claims on those they cover [5].
FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [6].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in any western nation with universal health coverage.
If you do not like the policies that Obama was elected to bring in, he can always be voted out of office in 2012. But if you disagree with the facts, please let me know. I am always willing to learn, but please provide proof. None of those who disagree with me have been able to do that so far.

Florence Said:

Why are girls so desperate to impress guys even at the risk to their own health?

We Answered:

The answer is one word that you have included in your question and that would be......"Girl's". Little girls and adult females that have not grown up and into an adult and mature standard often do go to desperate measures for the attention of having a male figure in her life. Females that have grown and matured into adulthood know better and also that it isn't necessary and that it's a waste of time.

Holly Said:

What is the class bias in the Obama health care plan?

We Answered:

Obama is the latest in a line of carefully elected (selected) individuals to pose as President under a process laughably called "free and democratic elections" which are run by...(drum roll)... a private corporation.

At election time we had two choices: a slightly psychotic senior citizen with mild dementia or a well spoken carefully groomed man who presented himself as a "man of the people" when in fact he was -and is- a corporatist. As such he would son run a country whose form of government is an Establishmentarian Fundamentalist Corporatocracy.

It should then come as little surprise then that he favors the interests of the elite rather than the masses.

The way health care is headed it looks like we're going to replace garbage with new garbage which will benefit the health insurance industry, rather than with a single-payer system as it should be.

Critics of the single-payer system like to dangle Canada and the UK as (bad) examples and as a reason not to have it, rather than citing countries like Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark and other European nations where health care is excellent. E.g. in a recent survey the number of individuals who were dissatisfied with the German national compulsory system is only 11%.
