Need ideas for physical health for prek.?We Answered:
Well I remembered when I volunteered at my mom's school, we did this mini-olympics competition for p.e., consisting of red light green light, simon sez, relay races, jump rope, ect. I would think anything that gets them moving, while being outside is fun.Tracy Said:
Lesson ideas for primary class. Aged 7/8. Topic doctors, nurses,& others who care for our health? We Answered:
To make it more interesting, you should try to get visitors and trips. You used to be able to get tablets that the children can chew - it makes the plaque stain red and shows which children are not cleaning their teeth!
Ask at the school's local doctor and see if the nurse can come in and talk to the children about first aid.
see if you can do a trip to the local hospital - I know our hospital has visits from schoolchildren of "your" age.
See if you can get a visit from an ambulance - explaining what happens when people dial 999 so children know what to do in an emergency.
Get someone to show them very basic first aid -Red Cross or St. John's Ambulance should be able to help you there.
and get the children to write thank you letters - it also helps with their writing!!!
Good luck!
