I would ask you doctor I don't know too much about insurance but I had the mirena iud inserted on monday and my doctor wrote be a script for the mirena iud and had me order it from the Canadian Pharmacy (it cost me $255) and then only charge me for inserting it ($115). I would ask your doctor it he/she could do that for to lower the cost. I saved $230 dollar because the doctors office was going to charge me $600 if they had to do all the work I totally think it was worth it.
