Two stories from the past two weeks :
1) Nasa crashed a probe into the north pole of the moon in a search for ice. Most previous searches have been negative but they had high hopes for this one. Water could provide water, oxygen and hydrogen fuel for future bases on the moon. Links 1 and 2 have more information.

2) a huge dust storm here in Australia two weeks ago dumped millions of tons of dust into the ocean between Australia and New Zealand. As a result ocean life has accelerated. This could have an important impact on global warming and a recovery of fish stocks. Link 3 has details.
