Health Screening Questionnaire

Wilma Said:

Under what grounds can an employee dismiss you for absence?

We Answered:

Sorry, but your absences are WAY out of line if you've been off 5 days in just the first few months. They could dismiss you now. And if you're in the US and aren't under a union contract, the don't even need a reason to dismiss you.

You aren't eligible for FMLA protection, you haven't worked their long enough.

NHS Occupational Health Screening Process and Outcomes?

We Answered:

I think if they have already offered you the job it would be unreasonable to take that away based on what you have said.
With employers it's best to tell them as little as possible so you need not mention having panic attacks etc. Just explain that you are on medication for the bi-polar and it is controlling the symptoms and you haven't had any highs or lows since starting the meds. Be positive about it and it shouldn't give them any reason to have doubts.
Good luck in your new job.

Going to finally get diagnosed with ADHD. What should I expect?

We Answered:

My advice would be not to get put on meds unless YOU fell that you need to be. It sounds like you are fine with the way that you are. My wife has ADD and has been on adderall xr for over 15 years. The meds are expensive, about $5 per pill per day and that for the generic brand that just came out about 2 years ago. but she has kind of the opposite of you. When she is not on her meds she thinks she is lazy and when she is on the meds she has more energy. The meds may also make you loose/gain weight. In order to save money she does not take the meds on days she does not have to work. So it can be like a mini bipolar, meaning highs and lows, nothing close to extreme or anything. The meds can be addictive as well. So if you do decide to get the meds follow the direction carefully until you want to stop taking them, and tell your Dr. before you stop.
Your school will not know unless you tell them, cause of dr patient confidentiality.
Just keep on enjoying your life, and find someone who likes you for you.
