Magnets For Health

Evelyn Said:

Is this true about magnets and health?

We Answered:

That's almost the biggest load of pseudoscientific garbage I've ever heard. Depression, anxiety and phobias are not the biggest underlying cause of disease, what is his evidence for that claim? Intense emotions cannot turn into a "ball of energy" that "distorts a person's natural field" - that is typical new agey quack baloney. We don't have some natural energy field that is responsible for our health, and energy is not something that can come from emotions and can be trapped - energy is measurement of a system's capacity to do work; eg E=MC2. It does not just exist is some pure state.

There is not one shred of evidence for the existence of meridians, no biology lab has ever detected them, and there is no mystery about the function of living organisms that requires them to be even postulated. So even if a refrigerator magnet could have effect some on the body, which they don't, his hypothesis fails given there are no meridians anyway.

I suggest that Dr. Bradley Nelson is a crank who preys upon the placebo effect in order to sell books and products, has done zero research to support his claims, and has no understanding of science whatsoever.

Magnets (treatment, health,)?

We Answered:

There is absolutely no benefit to be derived from magnet therapy of any sort. The Soviets claimed that magnets helped bones heal faster, but that was not true. They actually did a lot of embarrassing pseudo science in their day...and even rejected Mendelian genetics in favour of a soviet version, which put them 50 years behind the west in genetics.

The idea of using magnets to `heal`` has been around for at least 150 years, in fact, Anton Mesmer (from whom we get the word "mesmerize") was using magnet therapy among other things in his fraudulent side show. DD Palmer the creator of chiropractic also dabbled in magnetic healing before he came up with his own fraud.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesmer

The pseudo-science behind magnet therapy is that magnetic fields attract the iron atom at the heart of every hemoglobin molecule. Nonsense! The heme form of iron is not affected by magnets. If it was, everytime someone had an MRI (which generate magnetic fields thousands of times stronger than those cheesy bracelets) your blood would be ripped out of your body. Never heard of that happening.

Magnets will not make you stronger, more healthy or alert. Magnets near your brain won`t make you smarter (actually I would be highly suspicious of the intelligence of someone who put magnets in their hat). They will neither prevent nor cure cancer...but they also won`t cause it.

Magnets, EMP fields and your health?

We Answered:

Since Doctors work with scentific information it's hard for them to accept the holistic approach because there is not a lot of statistics that they work better or the same also their schooling is limited in these fields unless they choose to specialize. The best approach if having a problem that is not getting better like your mothers arthritis is to ask the Doctor for recommendtions to a Naturopathic Dr or a Massage Therapist who works with many modailites. these two types of practices will work on healing the body as natural as possible. Good Luck.

Has anyone actually used magnets for health reasons? I've been reading about using magnets for pains?

We Answered:

Magnets are common for health reasons. I use powerful magnets to give me sexual powers;

Rosa Said:

how do you make magnets for health uses?

We Answered:

Hi Lisa C, magnets have been used for pain relief for hundreds of years, and although there's no scientific evidence that they work, thousands of people swear by them. People all over the world use them for aches and pains stemming from medical problems like arthritis and migraine headaches.

Magnet come in two types: static, and pulsed.

Static magnets are widely available in many forms, including: bracelets, necklaces, mattress inserts, shoe insoles, and cushions. The magnetic fields are said to help common aches and pains, and to enhance quality of life.

Pulsed electromagnets are available with machines and pads designed to improve circulation and allegedly provide many many benefits, like assisting in cell regeneration.

There's no conclusive evidence that magnetic therapy gives pain relief, but there's a lot of anecdotal evidence.Pleas look article: http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Magnets…

Has anyone noticed any effects using magnets for health reasons?

We Answered:

Nearly 4 years ago i sustained a spinal injury where it took me almost 9 months to walk properly again. In that time i was on a plethora of pain killers and anti depressants.

I started using magnetic therapy on advice from a friend that was concerned i was becomming addicted to the drugs i was on. I was and am still using a magnetic under blanket on my bed, magnetic pillow insert and i also wear a magnetic bracelet around my wrist.

I have to admit, i am not totally pain free, but the strongest drug i take now is Panadol or nurofen. Others might say it has not helped them at all, all you can do is give it a go. Just remember it dosen't happen overnight, may take a few months, but you will notice the difference.
