ive been living abroad for nearly 8yrs?We Answered:
Get the Euro health card. There are reciprocal agreements between all EU countries so what you are entitled to in Spain you are entitled to in the UK and vice versa.

im going to amsterdam for 3 days. is travel insurance necessary? We Answered:
Of course, it is not absolutely necessary for you to have travel insurance but, in my opinion, it would be very foolish to travel abroad without it. There are any number of situations which could arise, no matter how short your stay, where insurance would save the day. Just imagine yourself being the victim of crime, or in a life threatening situation without insurance. It's all very well saying you have the European Health Card, but what if you needed to be returned to the U.K. by any means (including air ambulance). Don't expect your card to cover this. You will always find people that travel without insurance and have been O.K., but you will also hear horror stories, and I have, of others saddled with huge bills as a result of not insuring. For the sake of an on-line price of around £8 for a 3 day cover, is it really worth the risk?
Be prepared, there's always a first time. Expect the un-expected.
Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

travel insurance required/essential or just a scare? We Answered:
I never leave the country without it, but I don't always buy the cadillac of plans either. There's so much that can happen from delays, defaults, your illnesses before or during the trip, etc... It's not that expensive that it should be avoided.Glenn Said:
