How much does it cost to give birth in NJ, without health insurance?

We Answered:

Oh, I bet you could find a doctor in NJ, even at this late date. I'm sure someone would be able to work you into their schedule. But at 32 weeks you're probably too close to term to be traveling long distances. That's about when my OB forbade travel. A trans-oceanic flight would likely be stritcly off-limits to you now.

In Kansas, my OB charged about $2300 for the package of an ultrasound, full-term OB visits and delivery for the unisured. For only the last few weeks, it's probably be a tad less . . . but in NJ the rates would probably be higher.

But the hospital bills separately for use of their facility, so you could be looking at a few thousand more. I really have no idea though, because their rates to my insurance are usually much different than to the patient.

What are some affordable health insurance in the NJ area?

We Answered:

Medical Discount Plan
ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services.

Individual & Family Health Plans
This is a major health insurance plan for individuals and families. If you are looking for comprehensive long term health insurance coverage for yourself and/or your family members who are 62 years old or younger - this is the plan to choose.

Short Term Medical Plans
This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you're no longer covered under your parents' medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you're employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you've found a new job, but your new employer's group health insurance plan won't kick in until you've been with months.

YOu are not the only one who met this problem,I have met this type of problem before.I have good experience here    www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info    to solve my similiar problem.

What are some good health insurance companies in NJ?

We Answered:

She should visit a local independent agent. The agent works with most of the plans available in her area and can work with her to find the best plan for her situation and budget. The plans and premiums are exactly the same whether she uses the agent of buys directly from the company. Also, if she has pre-existing conditions or is out of the height and weight guidelines she might get declined. The agent can help find a company that will accept her.
