If it is a wisdom tooth, your best bet is to get it extracted. Most dentist here in the US look at wisdom teeth in that they aren't needed. They are tough to clen and most of the time don't serve a purpose. Getting it extracted is less costly. Extractions are estimate $150 depending on if it involves the bone or not and crowns are well over $1,000.

What's wrong with using the public system? Well unfortunately there aren't any private health insurances that don't have a waiting period if you've had a gap in coverage. So you will most likely have no choice but to use the welfare system. It sucks but thats what happens when you take the gamble of not having health insurance.
