Unfortunately you are asking the wrong question here. Truth is ALL surgeons will bend over backward to accept your insurance. Your real question is to ask Health net insurance IF they will cover the Lap Band surgery. 75% of insurance companies do NOT cover weight loss surgery and its sad. So ask them that first and if they do I can refer you to some surgeons that accept your insurance.

It is only going to cost him $53 a month. So a plan like this may work well for you.

However it is too expensive for the insurance we have ,so we are switching over to this type to save on the monthly premiums, but still have very good coverage. It would be a waste of money if you are already sick.
You would just be declined benefits due to a pre-existing condition.

Health insurers cannot make money if you are already sick and are immediately going to use more benefits than you pay premium. It's called Adverse Selection (when sick people opt for coverage because they are sick or know they are going to incur major medical bills).

Therefore, they put 'pre-existing condition' clauses in policies to protect themselves.
