Carlos Said:

Is it true that its hard to find a good dentist that excepts the wisconsin forward card for health insurance?

We Answered:

Yes it is. Im in Wisconsin and have the same insurance. The only place around me that takes forward cards is a place by the technical college that has volunteer dentists. I had to get care credit to be able to get my dental work done. I tried calling human services and they couldnt tell me who accepts forward cards. They just said I would have to call the dentist. Good luck!

Leah Said:

Could anyone please tell me if they know of a reasonable priced health insurance for seniors in wisconsin?

We Answered:

I'm assuming that even though you say seniors, you do not mean 65 or older? If so, Medicare A & B is what you want. B is $95 a month taken out of social security. You then need a supplement to Medicare to pick up the deductibles and co-pays. Should cost you between $100 and $150 a month depending on state regs. If you are under 65, there is no reasonable health insurance. I have clients paying $600 a month each for basic coverage with high deductible and co-pays. THe choice is pay through the nose incase something happens, or keep your fingers crossed until you are 65. Scary, but very real issue in the US. Don't forget to get your Long Term Care Insurance also. A long term care situation can take your life savings, and home. A big doctor/hospital bill cant. You can make a $50 a month payment for medical bills, but not for Long Term Care. State will make you spend down and lien your home if you need extended care. Hope that helps.

Which would you rather have, no available option to get health insurance or government run health insurance?

We Answered:

Can you name one single person that has no available option to health insurance? you mean that there are people out there that are banned from having it?

Eddie Said:

Are there any rules on what health insurance companies must pay for?

We Answered:

It always depends on what kind of policy you have. You really do get what you pay for. You should always read your policy in it's entirety. If the insurance is paid by the employer and you don't have a choice, you can always purchase additional insurance. If this person is low income, she can apply for medical assistance through the state and they will pay any bills 3 months prior to the application. She may want to give that a try. You would be surprised at who they qualify for medical assistance.
