where can i find women who are looking for love?

We Answered:

I strongly encourage you to use eHarmony. That is where I found the love of my life. It is going to be about a million times easier for you to find a girl who loves kids than it would be for a girl your age to find a guy to accept her kids.

eHarmony uses a matching system that exactly matches you with someone who is very compatible with you based on an extensive psychological test. You can also put in your personal preferences such as non smoker, non drinker, what religion, race, whether or not they accept kids and things like that. If you want to save money, don't sign up online, call them on their 800 line and ask for the 3 months for the price of one. It is the most expensive service out there, but it is by far and away the best, Dude!

I have two nieces looking for a good guy, but they are older than you, one is 34 and one is 32. Too bad you aren't ten years older! Seriously Dude, you will find a great lady made just for you on eHarmony, I did. There are probably 500 great women for every good guy out there, that is what I found! Go for it! In the Mormon Church, there are about 100,000 really exceptional women for every good guy, so, check out the Mormon Church for wonderful women who are dying to be Mommies!

Help determining the best field of study?

We Answered:

I am a college sophmore interested in Forensic Science as well. Based on your interests, it seems that you like the sciences more than psychology, even though you are interested in that area. My first suggestion would be to explore a major for a semester and see if you like it. Don't feel bad for changing your major a few times, I couldn't make up my mind at first either. I was a Forensic Chemistry major, Criminal Justice major, and now I'm a Biology major. If you feel that you have a strong passion for both science and psychology, you may want to try to major in a hard science such as Chemistry, Biology, or Forensic Science and minor in psychology at the same time.

Careers available for a PhD in Theology?

We Answered:

Hello, I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Theology, so maybe I can help answer a few of your questions.

A. Theologians with PhD's can teach at the university level; write papers/essays/books; depending on your sub-interests there are other options for you. For example one way that you can combine your interest in medicine as well as theology is looking into theological ethics and then specifically biomedical ethics. Currently I am in a biomedical ethics class and there are many students in my course who are pursuing medical degrees. Combining this knowledge may allow you to work in hospitals on ethics committees.

B. Pay is tricky. This I do not know yet, I think there is a whole variety of pay for professors depending on how many years they've taught, if they're tenured, where they are teaching, etc. My undergraduate theology teacher told our class that he didn't make much more than a high school teacher at a private school!

C. Believe it or not, getting your PhD in theology will likely take you more time (2 yrs masters, from 3-5-7 yrs PhD) than being a medical doctor and you will probably earn considerably less. So, do it if you love it!

D. All kinds of universities are different. Many will have academic degrees and pastoral degrees. If you do not want "devotional" (by which I think you mean like faith and pastorally based) then make sure you enter into the academic program. If you are unsure of what the program is like, email them and ask whether most of their graduates go on for PhD's). Also, different colleges have different stigmas attached to them as far as liberal or conservative theologically, so make sure your beliefs match. It sort of sounds to me that you are interested in Islamic studies, if so, look for programs that might include courses about that or have scholars who are active in discussion about those issues.

Okay, good luck. Sorry if I was not helpful.

careers which one is the best? nursing, law, or education?

We Answered:

with what you have done already (skimming the lengthy above), teaching sounds like a good progression for you. Law would require a huge time & financial commitment and law school is really gruesome. nursing would require also some back tracking and dedication again as well and more science. you really are pretty scattered however in what you want--perhaps you should take advantage of some of the services that your college offers for career counseling and try & sort it ll out so you do not keep jumping from one to another.
