Eleanor Said:

project about orthopedics being the best medical career?

We Answered:

I'm not an orthopedist but I have worked for them and have a few links for you.

As you probably know an orthopedist is a medical doctor who specializes as an orthopedist. Originally they were worked primarily with children. I teach medical terminology. Ortho means straight, pedi is for children like pediatrics and the ist the specialist.

What is great now days is that there is a lot of new technology--braces, splints, etc.

I'm sorry I don't know what MLA format is. Depending upon how long your project needs to be you perhaps can contrast and compare an orthopedist versus a chiropractor versus an osteopath also known as an osteopathic physician. An osteopathic doctor is one who is a cross between a medical doctor and a chiropractor. The osteopath has the same status as a medical doctor in the military, at least they used to years ago when my friend left to become an osteopath. However an osteopath does adjustment somewhat like a chiropractor except the osteopath focuses on the bones (osteo) and path (disease) and chiropractors do adjustments primarily to focus on the nerves of the body. Osteopaths also tend to be more open to nutrional supplements and alternative healing methods.

An orthopedist is an M.D.-- medical doctor.
An osteopath is a D.O.--doctor of osteopathy.
A chiropractor is a D.C.--doctor of chiropractic

One of the links I gave you in particular can help you with the contrast and compare.

I hope this helps you. I wanted to give you some info as no one else had even tried to help you. Good luck.

Adam Said:

Which is the best medical career requiring a 2 year associates degree?

We Answered:

Hi!! let me help you somehow; If you get into the LPN program, there are programs that may help you accelerate into the RN program since you have the groundwork; Pharmacy Tech is usually a certificate program; that is a growing field; Medical Billing is very good; however, check out what each entails; where I live, the local college in my town bought most of the tech colleges and combined it into one and the LPN program merged with the RN program and they started a mobility track where if you have your LPN you can only take like seven classes and finish; but hey check out each and I wish you the best; also most of these fields, there is a need for them; Nursing is critical right now; Pharmacy Techs as well.

Minnie Said:

what is the best medical career to study?

We Answered:

If you are not interested in becoming a doctor due to the costs of school and the length of time studying, you might want to look into nursing or pharmacy. Nursing is in high demand, and travelling nurses are paid very high salaries. Pharmacy is big right now as the role of the pharmacist is changing to a more patient-centered role. Pharmacists arguably know more about medications and their effects on the body than doctors do.

Sara Said:

What are the best medical careers?

We Answered:

That's a rather subjective question. Any healthcare professional that loves their job will most likely suggest it. Why don't you research some different Allied Health careers such as Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, MRI/Nuclear Medicine, Paramedic/Prehospital Emergency Care, Surgical Technology, and also Nursing careers. Then you might have a better idea of what you want to do. Best wishes.
