Get involved in some professional groups or clubs.

Do some volunteer time. Your last work was 11-07. Why did you stop? No matter what you say... you did stop.

Agnes Said:

want to change from med. assissant to veterinary asst.?

We Answered:

Well you don't HAVE to go to school to be a vet assistant of course. I worked at a couple different vet offices for 9 years, and most of the vets preferred to just hire people with experience or who seemed good for the job rather than if they had a vet tech degree. One reason is because people with vet tech. degrees expect hire pay.

I know many vets are willing to train you on the job if you are a good worker and willing to learn.

If you already have good administrative skills and good people skills as far as being sympathetic/caring, etc then they most likely will see you as a good candidate.

Of course having experience with animals is very helpful to. You have to be used to them. willing to deal with the "dirty side" and have patience for aniamls, as they are a lil different than sick humans lol

Hope this helps!
