I am considering a career in the medical industry, anyone in the field that would like to share their insight? We Answered:
Medical billing is a great choice if you want to work in the medical field without having an allied health position (i.e. nurse, x-ray tech, etc). Every hospital and medical office needs people to do the billing coding. I worked as an RN and after discovering what a truly horrible job that is (forced overtime, understaffing, getting looked down upon by the doctors, etc) I considered getting into medical billing too. I ended up getting a degree in physical therapy, but I still think billing/coding is a fine choice.Good luck and I think you will find it an enjoyable position!

Medical careers that pay well.........?We Answered:
Nursing - LPN's go to school for 1 year and make $30,000-45,000/year.RN's go to school for 2-4 years and make $50,000-70,000/year.
If you were to continue on in nursing, you could potentially make $80,000-$120,000/year. That sounds good to me!

A question about a career in the medical industry? We Answered:
I can't answer this question because I don't know anything about you and neither am I a surgeon. Without knowing you personally, it's impossible for me to say whether or not this is the correct career path for you. What I do recommend you do is re-post this question on the "medicine" board because there are quite a few Doctors who hang out there and may be able to give you some insight.Cardiothoracic surgery is a very long road, but there is nothing to say you cannot be a surgeon and have a family at the same time. Hospital Doctors are required to work unsociable hours, yes.
"i have survere (sic) podophobia (fear of feet) the only way to cure this is through hypnotherapy"
The best way to resolve this problem is probably with CBT (cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Hypnotherapy is no more effective than placebo. It's simply a relaxed state of mind, which may mean you are more suggestible.
