We Answered:

Salary.com has a free profile report that you can fill out to get more detailed, customized report. The mean salary for a neurosurgeon, though, appears to be 200,000. Additionally, the US Department of Labor has charts and information on specific careers, with links to other websites.

Lillie Said:

Can Doctors in different facilities see entire medical records?

We Answered:

I think you'd need to request it to be transferred.

I see doctors at various medical centres, and I know they cannot see my previous records at other places.

I am in Australia, not sure where you are, but I'm sure it's the same in America too.

Physical Therapy (DPT) - 3-4 years of undergrad (usually pre-med-track undergraduate degree) + 3 - 4years of graduate school - this is a doctorate degree
Doctor Of Osteopathy (D.O.) - Premed track 4-year undergraduate degree, 4 years of osteopathic medical school + residency
Medical Doctor (M.D.) - Premed, 4-year undergrad degree - 4 years of medical school + residency
Chiropractor (D.C.)- 3 years undergrad, 4 years of chiropractic school
Surgeon - can be a medical doctor (M.D.) or a doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) - 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of med school, residency that ranges from 3 years to infinity
There are many other doctorate programs out there - Pharmacy, Optometry, etc.

What are the different types of medical doctors?

We Answered:

Unless you're in your last year of medical school, it's pointless to even speculate on what you might think you'll like. You cannot possibly know until you are well into your clinical rotations in medical school.

The specialty you describe doesn't really exist, and most patients have feet. If you want to get rid of feet, try vascular surgery. They usually end up cutting feet off after the revascularizations fail.

Jared Said:

what is the different between a medical professor and a medical doctor?

We Answered:

The following refers to US terminology. Not sure how this changes elsewhere.

Medical professor is not really a standard term so it can mean a few different things. The term professor is an academic rank (the highest) and suggests someone at an academic (university) center. There are professors in medical departments who are medical doctors, nurses, PhD, etc so there may exist a difference their depending on what type of professor they are. While there are exceptions to every generalization, these people would typically be at the pinnacle of their respective professions. This includes an academic medical doctor who holds the professor rank and most of these individuals practice medicine in addition to their research and teaching resposibilities. The glib statement above about teaching because they don't know how to perform is just ignorance.
