Annie Said:

Medical careers doesn't need a lot of year?

We Answered:

Impossible in less than 5 years of college. You can try to open a clinic, or be a nurse, or a therapist. Those are your only options, and they are only a okay paying job and take a lot of time

medical careers?

We Answered:

Radiologist is still a MD like an anesthesiologist is and the time in school is as long, the cost is as high & the stress is probably as high as well. If you do not want a long time in school, lots of stress and a high cost; you need to look outside the MD track. And never, ever pick a job soley based upon salary--you will never be happy, nor will you be good at your job.

Look at some of the sub-MD jobs in medicine; although all jobs in medicine have a great deal of stress & burn-out. There are the mid level postions (PAs & NPs); the allied health fields (pharmacist--that would be a good choice--respiratory therapy, PT, occupational med, lab, social work, epidemiologist, microbiologist, (CDC type stuff), etc etc)

What are the different types of nurses & degrees & what do they mean?

We Answered:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Associates Degree Required
Registered Nurse (RN): Bachelors Degree Required
Practicing Nurse (PN): Master Degree Required

These are the basic categories but there are other designations. A PN is on the same level as a Physicians Assistant (PA).

The most in demand nurse is an RN.
