How can I look up information about a doctor? We Answered:
You can check with the State Board of Medicine. They sometimes have information like this on their site that is for free. Also, check with the Agency for Healthcare Administration in your State. They will also have information about complaints.
Also, if you know what some of the other States are that she lived in you can check with their State Board of Medicine as well.

Whic field is better to get into....Computer Information Technology or Medical Office Administrator??We Answered:
I can tell you that they both are in high demand, I have close to twenty years of experience in the medical field, it is a job that you must love I doesn't matter what department your working in, its a high pace constant action and never a dull moment job. When i first started out a decided that i wanted to go back to school, i picked two fields of study I did the research I looked for the positives and negatives in both field and I did some volunteer work. I found what i was looking for and i have been there ever since.Everett Said:
(UK) Question about the medical information that a barrister would have to release to get the post?We Answered:
1. Universities do not ask to see your medical records. They have no reason to.2. Access to your medical records is not required by the Bar Council, the Bar Standards Board, the Inns of Court or Chambers - they have no reason to have access to those records.
3. The majority of Barristers are not employed; they are sole practioners, as such they have no "employer" who might discriminate against them, there is only the loose association of the "Chambers".
4. It is highly improbable that anyone interviewing you for pupillage, tenancy or a university place would have seen or become aware of your medical history unless you tell them, therefore, whether they *would* discriminate knowing that information is irrelevant because they won't *have* the information.
5. That said, even trying to become a Barrister is far from an easy road to tread and generally causes both anxiety and depression, though not in the clinical sense, to those who attempt it. Even in practice, Barristers are hardly free from pressures which might affect their mental health, and a resurgence of clincal mental illness would probably interfere with your work or study.

What are my chances of being accepted into medical school and what career options are there if I don't get it?We Answered:
Alternatives to medical school:1) Dental school
2) pharmacy school
3) nurse practitioner
4) Osteopathic medical school (DO degree)
5) nurse
6) Optometry
chiropractic
physical therapy
etc, etc. There are lots and lots of them, and every field is in high demand. Take a part time job or volunteer in the health care field to learn more about what you want to do. This will also look good in your application.
Don't give up on medical school yet, take some easy classes to bring that GPA up. Study well for the MCAT, get good experiences into your application. You don't have to apply after junior year, give yourself time to bring the gpa up. Don't have to major in anything difficult, it actually doesn't give you an advantage if you major in biochem, only bring your gpa down.

Questions About Medical Career?We Answered:
A private practice is a medical practice that the employees work for themselves independantly, rather than being an employee... ie. if you watch these tv shows: Private practice- they are a group of Drs that work for themselves in their own private office vs grey's anatomy where they work for the hospital as an employeeyes, private practices can preform surgeries in their offices if they are equipped to do so: ie private practice or Nip/Tuck- two plastic surgeons that have their own private practice.
Unless they are also employed at the hospital, most surgeons need to be employed by the hospital in order to do surgeries or thing, you must know and abide by that places policies and procedures specifically to each location so they would have to sign a waiver or something.
you would have to visit a dr's office or something to find this out.. usually a private practice--you can set your own hours ie 9-5 because you are your own boss right?
Where at a hospital you are probably working shifts or on call a lot.. where as you can choose to be on call when in a private practice because otherwise your pts would have to go to the hospital to receive medical care and in an emergency they are probably the better choice because of available staff on hand at all times... so drs @ hospitals probably work more overtime i'm sure...
$$$--- a lot both ways. usually more as a private practice if you have a good team. More people like to belong to a private practice instead of sitting in waiting rooms with noisy people and all of that etc?
It all depends on where you do your internship and your job offers pop up-- if you're lucky a private practice would take u on eventually...
and specailties.. why worry about them now?... you are in high school... you haven't even began university and medical school-- you dont find out your true passion usually until exposed to it. ie i thought i would love geriatrics---- work there--hate it. On to surgery I go. :)
Goodluck!
