Here is my advice: don't stress yourself out trying to make a decision right now. It is a huge decision and could easily change several times over the next couple of years. I did the same thing when I was a senior in high school and I felt so pressured, but I didn't discover what I really wanted to pursue until I graduated and did 2 years at a university. You can always start your core classes at any school, and that will give you more time. Rushing into a decision will be of no help to you in the long-run.

I am now in Sonography school and I absolutely love it. But it's not for everyone! You have to figure that out for yourself. Something proactive you CAN do is to job shadow as many professions as possible (that you are interested in) to get a real idea of what their job is like every day. I especially recommend this for health care jobs. Even with Sono., there is way more involved than you would think. Good luck!

I myself am 17 years old, and i have been using Photoshop CS3 like its just another day thing.
Being that i too have those creativity skills that i'm sure would meet others standards. Im sure we will meet sometime in life, or not, but whatever the case is do what you think is best for yourself.

supposivly the institute helps you find the job but accountants are needed everywhere but the other jobs are also in need of an infinant amount of workers i would set up an appointment with them to give you a tour of ther programs because if you dont like it might not be worth it or maybe there website will tell you some detailed info on the programs

Some people don't even have a GED. Do what you feel is right. Don't try to please other people because they will never be satisfied and you will drive yourself crazy worrying about what other people think and feel. You dont have to be a doctor or lawyer to succeed. You don't even have to go to the top schools. Just do what's in your heart. I started at a Community College and now im getting my Masters Degree and am in the process of having my own non-profit organization. I was just like you but I realized whatever I do in life I have to deal with and no one else.

First of all, like any mother, she probably would love to have a doctor in the family but what's the point if your not happy with what your doing. It would make your life miserable. Trust me on that one. If your passion is cooking then go to Australia. Just don't lie to your parents about it. Be up front and explain that the one thing in life that you want to be is a chef. Make them a promise that if it doesn't work out then you will go to medical school. Most parents do want their children to be happy in the work that they do. If you don't do the culinary school, you could regret it later because as I've discovered,once you start a path it is very difficult to change it. But also remember that your family will always be there, through the good and the bad. Choose what will make you happy, not your parents. Good luck to you.

Have you tried J. Sergeant Reynolds yet?
I'm not sure if they offer that in particular, but my mother went there for Nursing and she thought it was a really great school.
