Jobs In Medical

Leo Said:

What kind of medical jobs are available in the Navy that don't need to to to Iraq?

We Answered:

Ed ski's answer was good the other two were just stupid. If you go in as medical personnel that is what you are your not a fronline rifle man.
Jobs include nurses (surgical, medical) dental care doctors and surgeons and admin. all these jobs are shipbound in the navy.
If you join the army as medical you could be sent to iraq but wouldnt leave a secure base like the green zone.

And to the guy who said you want the benefits without working for it, I wonder what he does for a living as doctors and dentists and nurses in the military save lives and improve the lifestyle of the soldiers.

Good luck. check out the navy's website!

Don Said:

What medical jobs let you diagnose people on what they have?

We Answered:

I'd love to know too actually. That's what I wana do. What you're looking to become is a diagnostician, but that isn't a profession in and of itself. You'd have to be doing something else as well. If you're not there yet, work towards entering medical school first of all, and see if you like the Physiology, Histology and Pathology that you do. Each, or any combination of the three seem to be able to allow you to do what you'd like. That's what I found. So for now, try Pathologist...study and diagnosis of disease, where the Histological aspect is major in your differential diagnoses. Note this isn't a "Dictionary" definition.

Good luck

Medical jobs that only require a bachelors degree?

We Answered:

Allied Health: Respiratory Therapy, Radiologic Tech (X-ray), Nuclear Med/MRI, Diagnostic Sonographer (ultrasound), Cardiovascular Technologist (Echocardiograms, Stress testing, EKG's, etc), Medical Technologist (in the lab).....

All of those careers are available with the appropriate Bachelors and a few of them are also available with an Associates.

Lawrence Said:

What do you know about being a health care specialist in the Navy? Or the other medical jobs?

We Answered:

Women are currently not stationed on boats as boats are submarines. They can be stationed on ships depending on their Rating. For Medical enlisted in the Navy it is HM and for females that is very difficult to get into as it is overmanned for females. There is also no guarantee that you would be stationed by or near a Marine base. He could get stationed in Okinawa, Japan and you could get stationed in Italy or he could get stationed in North Carolina and you could get stationed on a ship out of Washington State.

Ida Said:

What high paying jobs may one get with Chemistry and Physics, excluding medical jobs, and what do they pay?

We Answered:

Physicists in particular are in heavy demand for mathematical finance, which can easily pay over $100,000 U.S. immediately. For chemistry there's always the pharmaceutical industry. That I don't know too much about but I'm relatively certain that you can have a job for a pharmaceutical company which just involves figuring out chemical syntheses without having any direct exposure to the medical aspects. I've also heard that a lot of professors can make a lot of extra money by working as expert witnesses in trials.

Pedro Said:

How in demand are Medical lab tech jobs?

We Answered:

i dont think they are in demand, its just what the schools are saying to get people to go. i went to school to be a certified medical assistant. now i cant find a job, i had one but the business went under. ive been looking for almost 8 months now. i am very good, graduated high honors, and people loved me at the last job, so its not that. people are looking for RNs alot now though. goodluck.
