Your reality may be you may look months or more to find a job unless they can place you in one that comes after your extern. What your day to day responsibilities consist of really depend on the type of practice you are hired into, the size, the staff abilities etc. YOu would probably do computer (heavy), possibly staffing, possibly invemtory, attend meetings, look at productivity and keep the place running smoothly.
