I doubt it. In the MA program I teach at; the students get 2 hours of lecture then 2 hours of lab (at the school) where they learn the procedures. In the clinical rotation (which is in a clinic or an office etc) phase they are expected to already be proficient with the clinical skills, not just learning them. No clinical rotation is expecting to TEACH you clinical skills from the beginning.Jane Said:

well if you took a course in medical assistant , the school or college should help you find employment, if not check local newspapers. i got an associates degree in office tech, last year and i was 32 years old. i have 3 kids and never worked. when i graduated i found a job about a month later in a elevator company , it has been 6 months and there is still alot i have to learn about the business. it takes time. good luck.Brandy Said:
how much of a medical assistant course transfers to prerequisites for nursing.?We Answered:
none unless you have college credits with anatomy. I have my Licensed practical nurse certificate and I was going to be a medical assistant but none of it transfers to get any credit for nursing. I still have to retake stuff if I want to become a registered nurse because none of it transfers. You can only transfer college credits not technical school credits.
