How can I obtain a copy of my medical assistant certificate if the school no longer exists?

We Answered:

Presumably, you took the certification exam. Contact the certification agency for another copy of your certification certificate--that's all you'll need for an employer.

Any Positive or Negative information on Dorsey or Ross medical assistant schools?

We Answered:

Medical Assistants are far below RN's.

They just do the work-- without the pay

Keith Said:

There are many Medical Assistant schools in my area, but not for orthopedic Technicians?

We Answered:

Ortho techs where I work reduce fractures, cast, assist in the OR , do wound care , read Xrays. So you would have to be trained to do all that (your MA training does really not cover much of this). Kaiser Hospital trains ortho techs in a 1-2 year program, where I am. You would have to see if the job was set up to formally train you; otherwise you do not have the skill set.
