Help with naval academy and medical university? We Answered:
It is my understanding that you are both going to be starting undergraduate school. Universities relatively near the US Naval Academy include the University of Maryland-College Park, and Georgetown, George Washington, and American Universities in Washington, D.C. Your friend will be restricted to his campus for much of his first year and large parts of the rest of his education there. Then he will be assigned to duty at a location of the Navy's choosing, which may be at sea on a ship. You will not be able to enter medical school until after you complete your bachelor's degree. Entry to medical school is so difficult that many students apply to at least 15 located throughout the country. After four years of medical school you will be assigned a year of internship and two or three years of residency at locations which you may request, but which are not guaranteed. During this time your friend's duty station will be changed at least twice and it will continue to be changed about every four years or so. It is going to be very difficult, if not impossible, for both of you to be in the same location at the same time for much of your lives. After you have been certified as a pediatrician you will need to decide if you want to practice in one place or try to keep moving as he is reassigned. The latter will be difficult.
Best wishes.

What seems like a better career...?We Answered:
They are both excellent careers for you if you're interested in science and the medical field.Keep in mind that these professions are VERY competitive and require a lot of hard work and dedication. Getting into medical school, passing the exams (MCATS) etc., is very difficult. Think twice about what you want to do. Having a profession in the medical career seems very rewarding. You will also have to go to college and get excellent grades, medical school, and residency which generally lasts around 3 years. So by the time you are done with school and residency, you should be around 28 - 30 years old. It's also very expensive. If you take a loan, you'll be paying it off for the rest of your life.
Good luck with what ever choices you make. You're still young like me so you have a few years before you have to decide.

In 1965, I received a certificate from Career Academy, in Medical Assisting.?We Answered:
1965??? 40 years ago?? That is going to be really really hard. Even if you found the school, the odds of them being able to access a copy of the certificate is pretty close to zero. (this was before computers so its not like they are on discs, and paper files are often destroyed after so many years). If its the same Career Academy that is still in existence you might start with their corporate offices....ugh, to be honest, I do not see this happening, sorry.Marcus Said:
CNA vs. PCT??? UMA Ultimate Medical Academy? We Answered:
CNA. Usually when a place is hiring for either a PCT or a CNA, they take the CNA.To be honest you should think about becoming an RN. It's a 2 year degree, and as a CNA you will be making close to nothing. A new CNA will start at 8.50-11.00$ an hour. So it's a great stepping stone and great expierience while going to Nursing school. A new RN can start at over 20$ up to 30$ depending on your region.

Should I apply to UC's?We Answered:
First, I'm sorry about your dad I hope he gets better. Second, I definitely think you should apply and quickly since it already November. Your SAT are pretty good and so are your act. I'm not sure about Berkley but you should have a decent chance for the others.
