looking for licensure class for a career in medical field, any suggestions? We Answered:
Find an allied health school in your area. I went back to school at 40, and the allied health school I went to had three different classes (Morning, afternoon and evening) each session was four hours, and I finished school in 8 months. (Xray tech) Best of luck to you!!Elsie Said:
Making a midlife career change. Would like to enter the medical field. Need some advice.?We Answered:
It will take 2 years of schooling, then you take the national exam, and finally you get your license! It is a good area to get into, anything in the med field is really hot, right now. After you get your RT license, you can get certified in MRI, CT, mammography, etc. and it's usually on-job training. Here's a website so you can look up accredited schools: http://arrt.org/index.html?content=http:…

I'm a recent grad from the medical field, But ive decided to change my career choice as a retail manager .?We Answered:
Oh, yes, list your degree.Even degrees in a different field are usually looked at more as an indication that you are intelligent, motivated, and you can stick something through to the end rather than showing you'll be successful in a specific position.
I was in retail management for twelve years. Yes, there are all sorts of retail activities and they're not all the same, but I hated it. I was good enough at it to make decent money, but I hated it. Working nights and weekends (basically your biggest days and hours are the times when everybody else is not working), dealing with people who have self-esteem problems who think that harrassing the salesperson is cute and fun, living a cut-throat professional existence.
I have no idea what kind of opportunity you're talking about, but be careful. And be really careful if it's some kind of direct cold sales or multi-level marketing. They make those things sound like you should go out and start looking for your new lake mansion when you really should be running like he*^,

Medical Career?We Answered:
The best thing about the medical field is that it is SO diverse. You can be in school for only two years, or upwards from ten years. Paychecks range from $30,000, and lower, to around a million dollars.Interest 1: helping people
""2: science and medicine
""3: a desire to learn a vast amount of knowledge
qualitie 1: dedication
""2: patience
""3: more patience
But, even though I think I know everything, the medical field is too diverse to write it all. I would go to a local library or bookstore and find a book on the medical profession. The book will tell you EVERYTHING and answer ALL of your questions about the medical field.
Good luck!

I'm looking to move into the medical field as a career change. However, most hospitals require previous exp.?We Answered:
Volunteer. Do volunteer work on weekends or evenings while hanging on to your present job. Identify your transferable skills and when writing your resume do not put everything that sells your OLD career....remember you are wanting to make it easy for them to understand why you are a good candidate.Kristi Nielsen
