Medical Career Descriptions

Lisa Said:

Interested in a medical career ?

We Answered:

You don´t have to think doctor or nurse. You can be a lab. tech analyst, etc., but consider also a physical fitness, gym and the likes and also something that´s really very promising: A nutriologist.

Elizabeth Said:

How can I pick a career in the medical field? Help time is going by fast...?

We Answered:

Your career center or counselor at school can help you. Also you don't need to make a decision just yet since you don't need to declare a major right away in college. When you do get to college take anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry and as much life science classes as you can. You also might try volunteer work in a hospital to get exposure to different careers in the medical field before you commit to something you find out you don't really like.

Medical career question (10pts)?

We Answered:

The answer to your question is that it depends in which state you live. Some states prefer LNP's to PA's but that might not be the case where you live or where you want to work. If I were you, I would do a few informational interviews at your local hospital.

Terrance Said:

what medical career?

We Answered:

Surgery tech (scrub tech) or nurse.(although not too many surgeries are done at night unless emergent). For the heart--cardiac ultrasound tech; nurse in a cath lab. I would look at the mid-level allied health field jobs--that includes the lab, xray, CT scan, MRI tech, occupational therapy, things like that.

Tina Said:

What career in the medical field is this?

We Answered:

Neuropsychologist

I am studying to become a neurologist/neurosurgeon, and while i was researching about i came about a job that seems like exactly what your describing. A neuropsychologist studies social and psychological processes(including the brain's function and thought process and anthropology). They take a scientific approach, but it isn't as scientific as a neurologist with nothing but studies. They can either be more like neurologists, and do more studies, or do more psychiatry activities. I think that you would love this career.

Overall, it can cover anthropology, sociology, psychiatry with a scientific approach, and it is in the Medical Field.
I hope this helps! :)
