Medical journalist - info about the career?

We Answered:

You will find your self having to write in any science field you're in I am a Psychologist in a foster care I had to take all of the writing class stats Design APA rules and regulations so you will learn all of this in School and you can do the journalism in the field you are in.

Or if you like to be a Journalist you can do that too,
So you will need to know how to do expiraments wrtiting full reports and Journalism anyway but you can do both in that poisition or in a science field
You will be writing in both anyway
Familliarize your self in
SPSS software (Stats)
PsychINFO Abstract writing (e. g., The generalization of a journal for psychology journals that is inclusive to medicine i empirically don't recall)
Full reports
LOS (Levels of Significance)
Discussion papers (written or oral)
It has been a while but it is a great field
learn good software too

Hey im aspiring to become a surgeon..some info from a some one with a medical career would me nice!?

We Answered:

That's wonderful! I'm not 100% interested in medicine, but both my parents are doctors...so the interest is in there a little lol. Any profession can help people, I love doing it too! Ok, what I suggest, if you are very certain you want to go into that, look into reputable colleges that have a pre-Med program or major. Try googling "best colleges for pre-med." Oh and you don't have to worry about your specialty until you get to Med. School...there you learn about the different fields. For now, Pre-Med is your goal! Good luck!

I NEED some info on a medical transcription career please?

We Answered:

You ask honest questions and I'll give you hones answers. You don't need an Associate degree to be an MT. That is overkill. Take a GOOD QUALITY online course. No, it's not a scam. However, there are schools that are subpar BE CAREFUL with your school choice. Money is dependent on how fast you are. In the beginning the money is not good at about $10 an hour. However, by the end of your first year as you get used to your accounts, get comfortable w/ your word expander software, and gain experience, the income goes up to about $18-$20 an hour. An average MT with 1 year of experience earns about $18-$20 per hour. So, if you want to work part-time that would be about $80 a day BY THE END of the first year. In the beginning, count on 1/2 of that. It's a great career choice, but you just do not need a 2 year degree in it. You can train faster and less expensive. I went w/ an online school and have been very happy. I chose one that had an internship w/ it. I paid under $2,000. It can be completed in 4 months IF you are diligent in studying. Good luck to you.

We Answered:

I'm not a sonographer and I can't answer most of your questions, but since you didn't have any other answers, I thought I would at least give you a link to the most recent salary survey by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists: http://www.asrt.org/content/rts/surveyre…
