Medical Career Paths

Interested in a medical career path?We Answered:
unless you are extraordinarily talented and know someone in te admissions counsel then it may be very difficult to get into the schools you are interested in. Just because you have a 4.0 does not mean you will get into these schools. Many thousands with 4.0's apply to these schools and get flat out rejected. To get into those schools you need to do something that makes you stand out. Start a medical brigade and go to a place without adequate health care and start a program there. Do something original. Be a leader. 4.0's are all but standard for these schools. Do well on your standardized tests as well. Do a lot of volunteer work and much. Better the community around you.For medicine you can do whatever you want to in college. You could major in Chinese and still get into med school. It also does not matter where you go to school as an undergraduate. But if you really want to become a doctor and you know thats your calling then you can apply to to accelerated medical program straight out of high school. They are very difficult to get into. But i know Brown and BU have good ones.
Good luck
