good careers? help ( 20ch)?

We Answered:

I assume AP ( what it's called in USA) would be your "Advanced." Nursing, Family nurse practitoner, scientist (laboratory, etc..) Sonography (ultrasounds) Doctor, Or you could do law with a minor in science and medicine, for a career like, say..attorney for disabled..etc. AODA counselors, nutrionists, etc. good luck deciding! Do your research!!

i am medical coder, which is best for me TOEFL or IELTS?

We Answered:

As the first responder has suggested, the TOEFL is the preferred examination for many universities. For employment, however, the IELTS is a more widely accepted examination.

A question about medical internships (Australia only)...?

We Answered:

Really it sounds as if medicine is not for you - there is a small amount of specialisation available BUT you still have to work the 48 hours shifts regardless of your speciality - babys dont come only in working hours.

Wait until you have finished this degree to decide your next move - as a uni lecturer, the scores you get in year 12 correlate with first year scores but then they start to negatively correlated with year 2, 3.. That is students who do very well in their HSC do well in year 1 of uni, mediocre in year 2 and are some of the worse students in year 3.

Thats because, year 1 requires alot of rote learning (regurgitation answers) but year 3 requires only deep level thinking which the rote learners find hard to do (because for the past 5+ years they have only need o rote learn). Graduate entry medicine aim is to remove the pure rote learners from their intake.

EDIT: As it stands Australia is moving towards removing all degrees of Medicine from the undergrad curriculum due to studies that show - yes students chosen on high TEE/TER/HSC etc scores are the "worse" of all medical students. In a couple of years time - they will be all post grad.
