Medical Careers Institute Reviews

Elsie Said:

Is Career Technical Institute (CTI) a good school?

We Answered:

A private for-profit school is automatically a red flag! That tells me that they probably value money over education. Go to a community college instead.

Nina Said:

HELP! what is a good college to go to?

We Answered:

Avoid for-profit schools if at all possible. They are expensive and not well-regarded. Look for that program at a local community college or public technical school instead.

Jeremy Said:

U.S. Career Institute Medical Billing and Coding Specialist?

We Answered:

I don't know of too many reputable schools that promise work after you graduate so I'm sure U.S. Career does not promise a job. It looks like from their website that they offer accredited training in many fields.

I find it interesting that you don't have enough "time or patients for stupidity" but enough time to spout off without facts. . . If you did some research you would already know that Medical Billing has been done from home for years and Medical Coding (yes a separate skill set) is usually done in office. . . just saying.

Happy trails!

Albert Said:

Is taking a Medical Assistant course at US Career Institute worth the money and time?

We Answered:

You already got the job! That's fabulous. A ton of people would love to be in your shoes. I hope you like it.

Don't enroll in any certificate program yet. First, work the job for a bit. Make sure you like it. If you do, then I think it's a very, very good idea for you to get that certificate. The certificate, plus the experience you're getting, will set you up very well in this career.

Before you enroll at US Career Institute, check to see if the community colleges in your area offer this course. If they do, it'll be a lot cheaper than at US Career Institute.

Also, after you start working, ask the other assistants if they got their certificate, and where they went. Then check out those programs as well.

Christy Said:

Can someone give me some non-biased information about getting a Medical Billing and Coding certificate?

We Answered:

"Medical Billing & Coding" is a minimum wage job. No sense in spending money to get the degree.
