Eva Said:

I Need A List of Medical Careers Such As Such Surgeons,Physicianss, and Nursing?

We Answered:

Doctors and nurses work together in the same arenas. But anyways, I hope this helps you decide!

Doctors:
Ambulatory Care
Anesthesiology
Cardiac Anesthesia
Cardiology
Cardiothoracic Surgery
Cardiovascular Surgery
Dermatology
Emergency Medicine
Family Practice
General Surgery
Internal Medicine
Interventional Radiology
Occupational Medicine
Oncology Jobs
Orthopedic Surgery
Otolaryngology Job
Pediatric Jobs
Plastic Surgery
Psychiatry
Radiology
Urology

Doctors' salaries differ way more greatly than nurses' salaries. I Cardiologists, Anesthesiologist, Radiologists, and Surgeons are the top paying doctors, easily clearing $350,000. The others usually make at least $200,000--still a nice chunk of change, in my opinion!

Nurses:
* Cardiac Nursing
* Case Management
* CNA
* Clinical Nurse Specialist
* Critical Care Nursing
* Emergency Nursing
* Gastroenterology Nursing
* Geriatric Nursing
* Holistic Nursing
* Home Health Aide
* Infectious Disease Nursing
* Intravenous Therapy Nursing
* Labor-Delivery Nursing
* LPN
* LVN
* Medical-Surgical Nursing
* Neonatal Nursing (NICU)
* Neuro-Surgical Nursing
* Nurse Anesthetist
* Nurse Practitioner
* Nursing Educator/Instructor
* OB-GYN Nursing
* Occupational Health Nursing
* Oncology Nursing
* Operating Room/Surgical Nursing
* Orthopedic Nursing
* PC Tech
* PCA
* Pediatric Nursing (PICU)
* Physical Therapist
* Psychiatric Nursing
* Public Health
* RN
* Registered Nurse Consultant
* Rehabilitation Nursing
* Renal-Dialysis Nursing
* Telemetry Nursing
* Urology Nursing

Nurses with a diploma, associates, and/or bachelors degree, make about $50,000-$70,000. Surgical/OR nurses with just those degrees often make the most. Then, of course master's degree nurses make the most, Nurse Anesthetists ($130,000-$160,000) and Nurse Practitioner ($70,000-$90,000). Nurse Instructors make a salary between $60,000-$80,000.

Hopefully that covers the most of the salaries, I'm getting my information off of http://swz.salary.com/

List of medical careers please?

We Answered:

Ok...

Some of the titles are dependent on the level you are. Technician usually has less schooling than a technologist.

Non-doctor positions:
Unit Clerk
Medical Lab Technologist or Technician
Radiological Technologist or Technician, can specialize in other forms than just x-rays
Nurse
- LPN (usually not found in hospitals, can be midwifes with more training)
- RN (can branch into many specialties)
Medical Assistant
Psychologist
Physical therapist and their assistants
Surgeon Technician
Certified Nursing Assistant
Pharmacist
Pharmacist technician

Doctors:
Psychiatrist (mental health)
Radiologist (US is phasing a lot of them out now a days, reads x-rays)
Obstetrician (pregnant women and new borns)
Pediatrician (child)
Cardiologist (heart)
Oncologist (cancer)
Surgeon
Optometrist (eye)
Gastrologist Specialist (digestive tract)

Not sure on the technical names for these:
Respiratory specialist
Ear, nose, throat (not sure technical name)
Bone doctor (osteologist?)

There's more, but I don't know them.

Also, pull up a hospital site and go through some of the online job postings to get another idea of what they have. Then there is also bls.gov that has some jobs listed on there.

Charlotte Said:

Where can I find a large list of medical transcription (MT) jobs and careers?

We Answered:

A great place to look is in the Ultimate Transcription Jobs eBook. You can get it through www.payloadz.com -- do a search for it and you'll find it. Great resources, it checks each business with the BBB and makes sure they're legit. It's a 450 something page eBook, so you know it has a lot of info! Good luck!
