Healthcare careers. . .very medical but not dealing with blood? We Answered:
A lot of people say they have a thing about blood and mess, but honestly, if you just confront your fears and just do it, you get used to it and you do your job. It does get easier the more you are exposed to it and the more focused you are on doing your work. There are still some things that make me queasy on the job, but it isn't as though it happens every day (depending on the job).
Good luck to your friend, encourage her to not focus on her fears but instead focus on what she has a passion for, the rest she can get through.

What is a good university to go to if you want to major in a radiology/medical career? We Answered:
To become a radiologist, you don't major in radiology. You go to medical school, then do a residency in radiology afterward.Eva Said:
Medical careers?We Answered:
Sorry, take it from an RN of eight years, if you can't deal with the blood and gore, the medical field is not for you. (PS nurses do a lot more than clean poop thankyou) Even a radiologist has to deal with emotion and blood and gore because they are often working the front lines of the ERs. Nobody can teach you to "get used to" these situations, to the young man who wishes to be a surgeon. I am a surgical nurse. My bosses do very little that is pretty. Perhaps the young lady asking the question might consider a psychological branch of medicine. Except that too is messy, but in another way. But you are very young, as you grow up you might find your tolerances change. Good luck with whatever you do.Ashley Said:

While you are on their site check out the other specific medical things they have. Our government has catalogued thousands of jobs and it is a neat site. Helped me pick my carrer.

How hard is it to find a residency program for radiology after medical school? We Answered:
Radiology is one of the most competitive residencies. Radiologists have good hours, earnings, and working conditions and can find careers with little or no patient contact if they prefer.
