EMT might be a good one. It could even strengthen your application to med school, as it's an example of you demonstrating your committment to the field. If EMTs are in demand in your region, you could even start as an EMT while you study - some unis hire students, or have them volunteer, to serve as EMTs on campus.

Occupational Therapy. I work at a college in this department and we get an average of 15 job offers per day to post for our students. These people make mega bucks too, even right out of school.

Become a Physician's assistant or a nurse practitioner, both work under the supervision of a medical doctor, and can diagnose and treat diseases and conditions. They get paid pretty well too anywhere from 60k-100k. No med school. I think both can be completed within 4 yrs.
