No, if safety precautions are taken. I guess if there was a freak machine melt down, well maybe, but repairers in hospitals constantly double check.
ok, when taking normal x rays, you will position the patient, prepare the patient, etc. etc. then u will go into ANOTHER room, then click the button. Even if ur doing trauma or surgical x rays, u will be wearing lead vests, coats, and sometimes equipment to protect ur reproductive organs.
on top of all that, u are required to wear a radiation safety badge that monitors radiation. each month u send it in. if it is below or normal to healthy, then ur ok. if it is above and considered unhealthy, then i think that ur required to take a vacation to let ur body recuporate.
Please, dont take my word for sure! but, i think that u will be ok. and besides, if u dont want to do x rays, u could always do mri modalities or ultrasound. they dont require radiation.
