Arthur Said:

Is Medical Transcription job site reliable to apply?

We Answered:

MTJobs.com is the best place to find MT job listings and they are all reliable ones. You are referring to it as being a side job but it is important to keep in mind that most companies will not hire you unless you have the experience and/or schooling so you may want to look into that before you start applying.

How to get a certificate for a medical billing job and any web site for it?

We Answered:

Check out Career Step https://www.careerstep.com/coding/?uid=r… They have an awesome medical coding and billing course. It is very rigorous which is good because it really prepares you for the job. I have heard a student of theirs say that their final exam was more difficult than the certification exam. So at least you know you will be prepared! They also have job search assistance for you after you graduate. Training can take as little as 3-4 months if you work on it full-time.

Good luck!

Highschool Part Time Job After 1 Year Of Medical Terminology?

We Answered:

Yes. Workstudy or just a plain ol' job would be acceptable. Contact small offices and see if they are hiring part-time.

Elaine Said:

Is it hard to get a job in medical coding or billing with no experience?

We Answered:

This is a very small niche position. This is why you will not see them advertised. There are not many people who are certified in the position. But, there are hundreds of positions open all the time. Where? Every doctors office (yes dentists too), walk in clinics, nursing home and hospitals REQUIRE medical coders.

Yes, the degree will help, but you must take the courses. You must also continue to take courses (about every 6 months) to keep up with the changes the government makes.

You will need to get many certifications over the years and take lots of exams.

Is it worth it? Yes Once you are experienced with you exams completed, you could expect $80,000 + for a salary.
For experience- start anywhere at any rate. What you need is time and experience in the field. Any small doctors office may take you on so you may gain experience. Do not bother with hospitals, They have their own set of separate requirements starting with min 10 years in the field

Eduardo Said:

Why pay Monster $400 to post a job when there is sites like www.Pro-Medical-Jobs.com?

We Answered:

Yeah Monster has pretty much become a worthless job site now anyway that no one really uses anymore, unless they're in IT. It became overloaded with fake job offers from people looking to sell more worthless "jobs seeker" services or mickey mouse unaccredited degrees. So quality applicants stopped using it and you just get the young and gullible who don't any better.
