i was making 17 an hour wile i was still in high school. medical administration can make you a comfortable income but its not the most secure job in the world and you wont ever become ceo of anything doing that for a living. i find the best career isnt the one that makes you the most money now its the one that makes you rich later. numbers will invite you into a job in the begining. but how far will thoes numbers reach how far can you advance and get promoted being an administrator. probly not very far. yes you can live comfotable in a job like that. but in that job you will always have overhead and advancment will only go so far. i personaly think marketing is the place to be. take steve jobs for example. he started out as a low payed pencil pusher for a company i wont mention. now he is president of macintosh. yeh no administrater ever pulled anything like that off. just keep that in mind. how far do you want to grow. are you the type of person that is satified at 50,000 and can live comfotably. or are the type of person that wants 50 this year 55 next year and 60 the year after that do you wanna keep growing or do you wanna stay safe?? that is the question you need to be asking.

Take the classes at a community college and you will earn certificates based on which classes taken.
I'm going to school in North Carolina, so I would assume Alabama's average sa.laries are bit lower than NC's. I would guess somewhere between $26,000-$37,000 in Alabama.
I don't know and don't care bout Canada's salary range. The US is a better place to work.
Most medical office administrators work in an office setting but deal with medical records and health insurance claims.
