Science or Medical Careers?We Answered:
$400,000 a year? Most Surgeons don't even make that.Physical and Occupational Therapy require less schooling than doctors, and they could make about $75,000/year. A Physician Assistant might make around $80,000/year.
This is a site for labor statistics, trying looking here: http://www.bls.gov/home.htm

Science/Medical Careers?We Answered:
Fortunately, science/medical careers are some of the best careers to have at this time, in terms of job prospects. I know nurses are in high demand, and just so you know, there are several different types of nurses. LPNs usually have two year degrees and don't do as much as RNs who have 4 year degrees. You can also be a Nurse Practitioner, and from what I understand, they function very similarly to a doctor and can even practice independently! So there is an option for you.You can also get into research in any of the sciences.
Teaching is an option you may not want to rule out completely. You could be a biology or chemistry or whatever professor at a university.
There is also bioengineering, which I don't know that much about, but I have a friend who is doing that.
That's all I can think of right now, but I know there are tons more. Just search for medical or science careers on the internet and you will get a ton of results.
Hope this helps you! Good luck with medical school!
