Does this kind of scholastic grant/assistance exist?

We Answered:

The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program. I found this information on the government grants website. You have to be a U. S. citizen, be enrolled with an accredited college or university in a health care program and be willing to provide primary health care services in an area with a shortage of Health Care Professionals. For each year of support required you have to commit to one year of service, with a 2 year minimum of service. Contact number (800) 638-0824 to request an application. My concern is that federal/state insurance plans run like scams?

We Answered:

Sorry both about your injury and your realization that the government does not really care about you.

The politicians DO UNDERSTAND the consequences of the bills they pass. They put the provisions that a lawyer must be involved both to make it more difficult for people to scam the system and to reward the Trial Lawyers Association for their campaign donations ($).

The biggest lie ever told is the one about Social Security. There is no trust fund. You do not have an "account" with your Social Security money safely deposited in it. Social Security is nothing more than a pyramid scam also called a Ponzi Scheme

The moral of the story is NEVER depend on government for anything. If you do you will be disappointed in the end.

UC personal statement prompt #1?

We Answered:

The general theme of your essay is good but it comes across as a rant against your parents, not a statement of who you are. You need to start by laying out who you are then provide some back ground with your family experience.

Statements like "She was the reason for everything that went wrong. We became broke because of her and always had to move city to city because she never seemed to learn her lesson." are 1) phrased too casually and 2) make you sound whiny and immature. Try something like "My mother's issues caused money troubles for my family and we moved from city to city as she made the same mistakes each time. This taught me that....."

Statements such as "She, including my dad was the reason why I have given up so much in my life. Soccer, volleyball, and dance were something I did when I was younger and was exceptionally good at, but I always gave up because my parents would always put me down, they have never motivated me into doing something I like." highlight the fact that you gave up many activities colleges look for in students and the fact that you are not motivated. I would delete this entirely.

Physician Assistant School or Medical School?

We Answered:

You do not appear ready to sacrifice the time needed to become a physician. Go for PA who helps others and pays quite well./
