I want to be a veterinarian because I love animals, and i want to help them. I didn't want to become a doctor, because for some reason, i can't stand looking at people's blood and the thought of performing surgery on a person scared me to death. being a veterinarian is very gratifying. the animal's life is in your hands, it's your job to fix and diagnose things. I think being a vet is more challenging because your patient cannot speak to you and tell you what hurts.

Midwife
Physical therapist
Chiropractor
Acupuncturist
Massage therapist
X-Ray technician
Pharmacist

Many of the above also have assistant positions where you help (like a nurse) but it requires less schooling. The assistant positions also provide a way to get into the field and begin earning money, while you gain experience and continue schooling toward the full position.
